Our story
Kaeru — inspiration and magic
A childhood love for frogs became a lifelong journey. Kaeru is a handmade brand inspired by nature and the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi.
The first frog bag, Mitsuro, was born from imagination and my mom's talent. People noticed it, smiled, and connected with it. That's when I knew this was more than an accessory.
In Japan, frogs symbolize luck, protection, and safe journeys. This deepened my vision — my love for frogs wasn't accidental, but tied to wabi-sabi: the beauty of simplicity, naturalness, and imperfection.
Today, Kaeru is a collaboration between me and my mom. She crochets the bags while I design them and handcraft clay accessories. Every piece is unique, made with care and attention to detail. No two frogs are ever the same.

Every Kaeru Hoshi frog is handmade in Ukraine in our small family workshop.
From crocheting and embroidery to beadwork and the smallest decorative details, every frog is shaped by craftsmanship, attention to detail, and lots of love. 🐸💚
